Obama's SNL Absence Explained

ABC News has answered my earlier question on why Obama was no where to be seen on Saturday Night Live this week.

A spokeswoman for the campaign told ABC news, "In light of the unfolding crisis in Texas, Sen. Obama has decided it is no longer appropriate to appear on 'Saturday Night Live' tomorrow evening." Fair enough. 

The appearance is said to be only "postponed" though. So look for Obama to be Live from New York, coming soon to a TV near you.

I think it was wise to stay away from SNL while the hurricane was hitting. This leaves less of a chance McCain will use the hurricane to hit Obama with it. It also helps with perception, the skit nails Palin and if Obama was present they would say it was a partisan attack.
